Vital Records & Application Requests
Please find below applications for search of Vital Records. Please note that Vital Records are not available to the General Public. You will need to submit a copy of your Driver's License or your state ID Card as well as information as to how you are related to the individual in order to receive any copies.
Birth and Death records are available from 1878 to present.
There are no Birth or Death records in White County before 1878.
Marriage records are available from 1816 to present.
Birth records that are less than 75 years old will be $20 for the first copy and $12 for each additional copy.
If the record is more than 75 years old and you do not need a certified copy, you may ask for a copy which will require a $6 search and genealogy copy fee.
Death records that are less than 25 years old will be $20 for the first copy and $12 for each additional copy. If the record is more than 25 years old and you do not need a certified copy, you may ask for a copy which will require a $6 search and copy fee. (Must be family to request a record)
New Marriage License/Civil Unions: The fee to apply is $75
(Both partners must be present)
A person applying must have a State ID or show driver's license.
The License once issued must only be used in White County.
There is a 24 HOUR waiting period before you can use marriage and it is good for 60 days.

Marriage records will cost $20 for a certified copy additional copies will be $12.
A Genealogical copy will require a $6 search and copy fee.
DD214 Certified Military Discharge Records
Request by sending in a copy of your state ID or Drivers license.
Also please send a self-addressed envelope.
(There is no fee for this certified)
